Job Title: Commercial Sales Manager

Department: Sales

Reports To: Director of Commercial Sales

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective:

The function of the position is to be the primary sales POC for our world-wide commercial dealer and service center network and to provide sales support for daily consumer/commercial inquiries. This task is accomplished by understanding dealer, service center & customer needs, making product suggestions, providing technical support, and developing quotations. Understanding Switlik commercial products, their value-add, and the markets they are sold will be vital.

  • Communicate with, and take ownership of the Switlik Dealer Network (both Marine and Aviation) to maintain close ties, develop long-term relationships and ultimately expand sales.
  • Responsible for expanding the dealer and service center network identifying gaps and searching for new partners as needed (in conjunction with the Director of Commercial Sales).
  • Retain, analyze and report on Dealer Network knowledge / data and industry news to predict trends.
  • Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, and Production to develop pricing and lead time quotations.
  • Managing, track & follow-up on sales opportunities
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to respond to commercial dealer and customer questions and to fulfill needs.
  • Understanding company commercial products, their benefits/selling points, and to be able to communicate those points to customers via phone, video conference, or e-mail.
  • Understanding of competitor products, and market trends
  • Serve as a brand ambassador, and increase customer satisfaction
  • Maintain growth, and identify upselling opportunities
  • Identify at-risk accounts, and resolve customer complaints
  • Attend tradeshows and make occasional visits to Dealers

As a backup to Inside Sales Admin Supervisor:

  • Respond & resolve to customer complaints
  • Assist warranty & service customers with the return process

  • Willingness to work with constantly changing priorities
  • Proficient in the use of FoxPro, Exenta, and Microsoft Office applications (such as Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint).

Required Education and Experience:

  • Recent success in a product sales role meeting sales goals. High School diploma or Equivalent required.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Prior sales experience in Aviation or Marine industry is a plus
  • Experience working with or managing a dealer sales network is preferred.
  • Military service background is a plus.
  • Ability and speak and read Spanish or any other foreign language is a plus.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as mail, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure/maintenance manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence when requested. Ability to speak effectively and clearly to visitors.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; fax machines and internet software.

Position Type/Expected Hours of

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Travel:

15%-20% travel is expected for this position.
